Ron Rutland visits MHS

Melkbosstrand High recently had the privilege of listening to an inspirational talk by Ron Rutland.

Rutland cycled through each country in Africa on his way to the 2015 Rugby World Cup in Brighton, England. 42 000 km, 27 months and 75 countries later, he arrived in Brighton only to see the Springboks humbled by Japan in the greatest upset in international rugby history.

He was continually humbled and amazed by the kindness of strangers, the human spirit of ordinary Africans and the wonders of our misunderstood continent.

He inspired learners of Melkbosstrand High to dream big and live a life of passion and purpose.

The initiative was sponsored by SEARTEC.

Thank you Ron!
